Brett Favre Retires Again. No Surprise!

It is not a surprise that Brett Favre has decided to retire from the New York Jets after one season in the Big Apple. After a fast 8 - 3 start the Jets than lost steam and decided to fall apart agianst the San Francisco 49ers, Denver Broncos, Seattle Seahawks and their final game of the season against the Miami Dolphins. This caused them to end their season with a dismal 9-7 record and forced them to miss the playoffs and fire head coach Eric Mangini. The Jets time and time again have not been able to get the job done when it matters the most. the organization is unorganized and the addition of Brett Favre proved to be a complete failure. Now, with a new head coach in Rex Ryan and two back-up quarterbacks who no one ever heard of, where do the Jets go from here as the combines begin next week and the teams start to prepare for next season. Do you go with a quarterback from within the Organization or do you draft a quarterback from college and see if he has the potential to be the Jets new Savior in N.Y. The Jets have alot of work ahead of them in the off-season to put a winning team on the field in 2009. First and Foremost they have to make sure they find the right quarterback and then go from their. Their Defense needs improvement and Rex Ryan hopefully will have the answer for that as he is a Defensive genious. The Jets will have one thing in mind when they take the field in a new stadium next season and that will be a challenge all in itself as they try to overcome a frustrating season and forget about a hall of fame quarterback who could not get the job done. If the Jets want more than nine wins this season they must play together as a team and start from scratch!!!!

It Is No Surprise that A-Rod Juiced Up and took Steriods!!!

Alex Rodriguez is one of the most popular icons in baseball today. He is an overpaid player who has not been able to lead the Yankees to a World Series since joining the team back in 2004. Last Saturday four sources from Sports Illustrated came out and said that in 2003 Alex Rodriguez tested postive for taking Anabolic Steriods when he was playing shortstop for the Texas Rangers. After his interview with Peter Gammons A-Rod also admitted to taking steriods in 2001 and 2002. How can you sit their for a 55 minute interview and not tell the public, fans, media critics or Peter Gammons himself what he injected himself with. How can you also say you did not know what you were taking. WE THE PUBLIC ARE NOT STUPID AND A HALL OF FAME BASEBALL PLAYER HAS TO KNOW WHAT HE IS PUTTING IN HIS BODY, SO WHY NOT COME OUT AND SAY WHAT YOU TOOK. Therfore, I feel A-Rod did not come a hundred percent clean with Peter Gammons on why he took steriods and to me that is foolish and that is why his future will be tainted for the rest of his baseball career. Its time for baseball and the players organization to really shape up and take action for these foolish players who would rather cheat than go out on the baseball field and play to the best of their ability. The sport of baseball will forever have an asterick next to it becasue of all of the steriods scandals that have occured. Baseball will have a bad name until the sport clean's itself up. I also feel that we should know who the other ONE hundred and THREE players are on the Mitchell Report. The big name has alrady been caught and with that said the rest of the list should not contain any big names. As baseball fans we ask ourselves the following questions:
1. WHAT SHOULD THE SPORT OF BASEBALL DO TO CLEAN THEIR ACT UP?
2. AS FAN'S OF BASEBALL DO YOU FEEL THE GAME HAS CHANGED FOREVER BECAUSE OF STERIOD'S AND THE FOOLISHNESS OF THESE PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES?
3. IF YOU WERE THE HEAD OF THE PLAYERS ASSOCIATION OR THE COMMISIONER OF BASEBALL WHAT WOULD YOU DO TO FIX BASEBALL'S NAME AND RESTORE THE SPORT TO BE EXCITING AND FUN FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED?
